Copyright: stick sharpened at both ends

 The issue with copyright has become a fierce battlefield among different individuals on the Internet. YouTube particularly has become too strict to different acts of expressing one’s thoughts. Many individuals have been blaming this platform for not discovering some occurrences of copyright even if they are to support the original author. There are lots of opinions around this phenomenon, so let’s get into some details.

First of all, I would like to mention the music industry and spreading songs around YouTube. Probably everybody knows situations about reposting parts or even full songs on channels, that don’t have authorship. They will be deleted soon, and a “strike” will be sent to such an account. This procedure is not ideal though. In such cases as intentional commercial use of songs, it is justified but there can be hundreds more situations where this rule is pretty harmful. For example, the intentional appearance of song parts in videos prevents them from being uploaded somewhere on YouTube or Twitch. In 2017, a policeman turned on Tailor S.W.I.F.T(banned😊) composition to unable activists from uploading a video with him. This example maybe is not so serious, but it only has shown us the tip of the iceberg. 


Sometimes a remix or cover may be taken not appropriately by admins and either a monetization can be removed from the covermaker’s channel, or his fully changed new work of art just deleted without any examination. The way how YouTube is dealing with such actions is pretty random, and it is hard to guess. Remixes usually become even more popular than their original, so it is a stick sharpened at both ends whether a random guy making wealth with the use of someone’s intellectual property, or a benefit for an author as well to earn success when his song suddenly became renowned.

To conclude, reformation of the copyright law definitely should take place. Platforms that distribute content such as music, films, or another kind of art should take into account all circumstances and take their decisions with wisdom. No one likes injustice, so particularly in this area, it should be the most valuable thing.

  It is amazing how technologies are evolving. We can’t even imagine that something, not alive can perform some functions or recognize movements as a human being. Different assistive technologies such as braille displays and keyboards, technologies to transform neural impulses into some actions happening on a screen, and of course eye trackers. Help keep flame wars under control

  Since my childhood, the Internet was slowly creeping into humans’ lives and now has become a crucial part of everyday routine. The course I have decided to study promotes using various web resources not only to get some knowledge but to share it as well.
